UML’s Sudurpaschim Province PP seeks clarification from Chairman Oli faction lawmakers

KATHMANDU: Ruling CPN-UML’s Sudurpaschim province parliamentary party (PP) has sought clarification from the province lawmakers belonging to Prime Minister and party chairperson KP Oli faction.

According to sources, the Sudurpaschim PP asked Pathan Singh Bohara, a lawmaker close to PM Oli, to submit an explanation why gave his verdict contradictory to PP’s decision.

The letter sign by PP leader Prakash Bahadur Shah has sought three-point clarifications from Bohara.

Bohara has been alleged of tarnishing party image by making public statements against the Sudurpaschim Province PP decisions.

“Why are you trying to tarnish the unity and dignity of the party by making public statements against  province PP decisions?”

He has been accused of jeopardizing party unity and efficiency by giving vested personal interests a top priority.

Earlier, a meeting of the UML Standing Committee held in Baluwatar had decided to withdraw its support to the Sudurpaschim province government. However, contrary to the decision of the Standing Committee, the Sudurpaschim PP had decided not to withdraw its support to the government.
