Meeting of opposition parties underway at Budhanilakantha



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the opposition coalition is underway at the residence of Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba at Budhanilkantha.

Leaders of the opposition alliance have been holding discussions since this morning, sources have said.

The meeting is discussing the future course of action against the government, a leader said.

NC President Deuba, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, and central member Gyanendra Bahadur Karki are participating in the meeting.

Likewise, CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, and leaders Krishna Bahadur Mahara and Dev Gurung have represented the Maoist Center party.

Likewise, leaders of the disgruntled faction of the CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal and Bhim Rawal are participating in the meeting.

Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav is also attending the meeting.

Leaders of the opposition alliance, who filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court demanding the election of Sher Bahadur Deuba as the Prime Minister, are expedited talks of late.
