PM Oli urges Russian Envoy to provide Sputnik V vaccines for Nepal soon



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has met with Russian Ambassador to Nepal Aleksei A Novikov.

In a meeting held at Baluwatar on Thursday, Prime Minister Oli urged Ambassador Aleksei to make COVID-19 vaccines (Sputnik V) available for Nepal at the earliest possible, which the Nepal government is procuring.

In response, Ambassador Aleksei said the Russian government is positive about it.

Besides, the meeting also dwelled on the matters related to bilateral interest so as to take the age-old ties between the countries to a new height, said Prime Minister’s Oli’s secretariat.
