UML picks Janaki Devi Ram to replace late MP Sanu Shiva



KATHMANDU: Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has picked Janaki Devi Ram to fulfil the post of lawmaker lying vacant after the death of late Sanu Shiva Pahadi.

Sanu Shiva was elected a lawmaker through proportional representative system.

According to UML Chief Whip Bishal Bhattarai, the party has written to the Election Commission asking it to elect Janaki Devi as an MP in late Shiva’s place.

Sanu Shiva had died on September 14, 2020.
