NC leader Poudel slams govt

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has slammed the government for keeping quiet over the situation in Myanmar, where powerful military has been using lethal force against its citizens.

Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of the 23th anniversary of Reporter’s Club Nepal, Poudel, referring to the recent political turmoil, said such a situation arrived in the country when the judiciary had to save the political gains of 70 years of struggle — federal democratic republic and inclusive system.

Pointing out the ill-practices in governance, he criticized the government for steering the nation towards the path of moral decay.
