Ministers Rayamajhi asks party cadres to focus on polls

KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, and leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has directed the party cadres to focus on the upcoming election to the House of Representatives (HoR).

Addressing the party cadres’ meeting organized by NCP Dolakha-Kathmandu Liaison Forum here Saturday, he asked the party cadres to fully center their activities for poll without being persuaded by the illusion created by the Dahal-Nepal faction of the NCP.

He also accused party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal of quitting the party for not getting posts instead of ideological differences.

Also speaking at the program, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung argued that the Prime Minister was obliged to dissolve the HoR on the background that the leaders of the Dahal-Nepal faction in the party were preparing to lodge a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Saying that there was no alternative to go for a fresh mandate to safeguard the constitution, Minister Gurung appealed to the party cadres to prepare for the poll.

Minister Gurung also asked the party cadres to convey the government’s acts on nationality, infrastructure development, education, health, and tourism sectors.
