No delay in Tanahun hydropower project, says Energy Minister Bhusal



TANAHUN: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has directed the officials and agencies involved in the development of Tanahun hydropower project not to delay its construction works.

After an inspection visit of the 140-megawatt project on Monday, she asked the project officials to remain committed to completing the project in time. “The project won’t have to face difficulties due to administrative hassles. I am always there to facilitate,” she said.

Saying that Tanahun hydropower project was a project for nation’s prosperity, the Energy Minister assured sufficient resources for the project development. “This reservoir-based project is very crucial strategically. There will not be a crisis of resources,” according to Minister Bhusal.

On the occasion, she expressed confidence that the project would help uplift the living standards of the folks there.
