CHITWAN: CPN-UML’s senior vice chairman, general secretary and deputy general secretary have been elected unopposed.
Leader Ishwor Pokhrel has been nominated for the post of Senior Vice Chairman.
Likewise, Shankar Pokhrel has been nominated for the post of General Secretary.
Pradip Gyawali, Prithvi Subba Gurung and Bishnu Rimal have been nominated for the post of Deputy General Secretary.
According to the Central Election Office of the UML’s 10th General Convention, their candidatures have been received within the time limit for the registration of candidates.
The office has not formally announced his election.
Now, election for the posts of the chairperson, vice-chairperson and secretary will be held.
KP Sharma Oli and Bhim Rawal will compete for the party chairmanship.
Similarly, Ghanshyam Bhusal and Bhim Acharya and Tanka Karki have been nominated for the post of vice-president and secretary from the list submitted by Oli in the closed session earlier this morning.
