Maoist leader Pun’s health condition “improves”



KATHMANDU: The health condition of Maoist leader Barshaman Pun is gradually improving, a Maoist leader close to him said.

Last Friday, Pun was taken from Bangkok to the Third People’s Hospital of Senses in Shenzhen, China for further treatment.

According to Durga Chapagain, Pun’s former secretary, the doctor attending him said that Pun’s health condition was improving and that he would return to Nepal soon.

Pun’s spouse and former Speaker Onsari Gharti also confirmed the news.

A team of more than three dozen doctors and nurses has been looking after Pun.
