Nepal sees 549 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 549 new cases of coronavirus while 569 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 490 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 59 from antigen method.

Likewise, there are 173 cases in Kathmandu, 24 in Bhaktapur and 31 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 228 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether six infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death toll to 11,388.
