Prachanda says cabinet expansion after ruling coalition’s meet

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that cabinet will get full shape after a meeting of the ruling coalition to be held on Thursday.

Addressing the party’s Standing Committee (SC) meeting held at the party’s central office at Paris Danda Wednesday, Chairman Prachanda briefed that cabinet expansion was delayed due to some legal hurdles and that the ruling coalition was preparing to give full shape to cabinet.

In the SC meeting, Chief of the party’s organization department Janardam Sharma, who is also the Finance Minister, submitted a proposal, including suggestions, to organize and expand the party’s organization.

SC member Dev Gurung said the SC meeting approved the organization department’s proposal.

Similarly, a committee led by leader Barsha Man Pun also submitted a proposal to mobilize new entrants of the party. SC member Ganesh Shah said a plan to give responsibility to more than 6,000 party cadres was proposed by Pun-led committee. However, Pun himself has flown to Thailand on Wednesday morning for the treatment of jaundice.

The SC meeting also discussed about the number of delegates to participate in the national conference to be held from December 26-28.
