CPN (Unified Socialist) electing Parliamentary Party leader today



KATHMANDU: The CPN (Unified Socialist) is set to elect the leader of the parliamentary party (PP) today.

Party leader Metmani Chaudhary informed that a meeting of the parliamentary party to be held will select the parliamentary party leader.

Chaudhary said that the leader of the parliamentary party then would select the deputy leader, chief whip and whip of the party.

Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal is to become the leader of the parliamentary party.

The Unified Socialist Party has 23 members in the House of Representatives (HoR) and seven members in the National Assembly.

Madhav Kumar Nepal, Mukunda Neupane, Kalyani Kumari Khadka, Birodh Khatiwada, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Ram Kumari Jhankri, Niradevi Jairu, Prem Bahadur Ale, Metmani Chaudhary, Sarala Yadav, Bhawani Khapung, Pushpa Kumari Karna Kayastha, Samina Hussain, Krishnalal Maharjan, Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Kalila Khatun, Hirachandra KC, Dhan Bahadur Budha, Gopal Bahadur Bam, Parvati Kumari Bishunkhe, Laxmi Chaudhary, Bina Budhathoki and Jhalanath Khanal are in the HoR.

Likewise, Dr. Veduram Bhusal, Sher Bahadur Kunwar, Thagendra Prakash Puri, Udaya Sharma (Poudyal), Singh Bahadur Bishwakarma, Nanda Chapai and Shanti Kumari Adhikari are in the National Assembly.
