Govt in regular contact with concerned bodies in Kabul to rescue stranded Nepalis: MoFA

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has reiterated its request to Nepalis stranded in Afghanistan to register their details in the online portal run by the Department of Consular Service, situation room of the Foreign Ministry and Nepali Embassy in New Delhi.

The government said its efforts were continuous to rescue the Nepalis stranded in Afghanistan.

According to the MoFA, eight Nepalis were rescued on Saturday.

Thirty-four Nepalis waiting for rescue flight from Kabul were also shifted to a safer place on Saturday, the Ministry said.

The government is in regular contact and coordination with all concerned bodies in Kabul to bring in the Nepalis stranded there, it said.
