NC to hold district convention on September 26



KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is holding its district convention on September 26, province convention on October 27-29, and national convention on November 25-29.

The convention at the local level has been scheduled for September 12 and province assembly constituency-level convention on September 17 and the House of Representatives constituency-level convention of the NC is slated for September 21.

Top leaders of the party have agreed on schedule, active membership and election guidelines in regard to the upcoming 14th national convention.

Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel have agreed to make public the name list of the party’s active members by resolving intraparty disputes, address the concerns of district presidents and create a favorable environment for the national convention.

NC President Deuba and senior leader Poudel have also agreed to organize the party’s ward-level convention on the same day in all 6,743 wards across the country.
