KATHMANDU: Leaders of senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal’s faction have also been invited to the meeting of the 10th National General Convention Organizing Committee of the CPN-UML.

UML central Office Secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang said central members of Nepal faction were invited to the meeting to be held at 11 am on Wednesday. However, 11 leaders, including senior leaders Jhala Nath Khanal, leader Nepal, Bhim Rawal, Ram Kumari Jhankri, Kalyani Khadka, have not been invited.

Chairman KP Sharma Oli had expelled the 11 leaders, including Nepal and Khanal, from the party on May 24. All have been called to Wednesday’s meeting except those expelled.

The 10th National General Convention Organizing Committee is likely to be dissolved Wednesday.

Chairman Oli transformed the central committee (CC)  into General Convention Organizing Committee on March 12 but the Supreme Court delegitimized it. Following SC intervention, Chairman Oli is preparing to restore the UML party committees of May 16, 2018.
