Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 7,163 with 116 new fatalities

KATHMANDU: As many as 116 COVID-19 patients have succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll to 7,163 as of Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 4,487 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 4,311 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 176 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

Meanwhile, 6,080 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
