Australia-based INGO donates medical supplies to Taplejung folks



TAPLEJUNG: An Australia-based INGO “Himalayan Development Foundation” has donated essential medical supplies to the locals of the Taplejung district.

Representative of the Foundation Mingma Dandu Sherpa said that the support is to mitigate the risk induced by the ongoing pandemic and provide medical facilities to the underprivileged people in the district.

He also added that the medical supplies and equipment have been dispatched to the rural villages such as Olangchungola and Ghunsa in the district.

Sherpa said that the support amounts to Rs 6 lakhs.

The Foundation has been working to improve the livelihood of the people of Taplejung district through investment in education, health, and tourism for the last six years.
