Maoist Center takes action against 7 people’s representatives in Rautahat



KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) has sacked seven people’s representatives in Rautahat district of Province 2 Thursday.

The seven were expelled from the party for defecting to CPN-UML.

Maoist Center has also revoked party membership of the seven of whom two are Mayors and five are Deputy Mayors.

Those facing party action are Maulapur Municipality’s first elected female Mayor Rina Kumari Sah and Deputy Mayor Gauri Shankar Jayswal, Katahariya Municipality Mayor Siyaram Kushawa, Yamunamai Rural Municipality Vice Chairperson Gita Devi Sah, Madhav Narayan Municipality Deputy Mayor Simal Sah, Fatwa Bijaypur Municipality Deputy Mayor Kanti Devi Sah and Devahi Gonahi Municipality Deputy Maor Parniya Devi.

All of them were elected to their posts from the Maoist Center.

The party had sought clarification from them on April 23.
