Indian Embassy hosts interaction in capital



KATHMANDU: As part of a year-long celebration of 75 years of India’s independence, and of Sampark – India Nepal Alumni Network, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu has organized an interaction program in the capital Sunday.

A conversation took place between Sonam Wangchuk, an acclaimed Indian engineer, innovator and educationist, and Kanak Mani Dixit, a prominent Kathmandu-based author, publisher and editor, yesterday.

The interaction focused on education, innovation and sustainability in the Himalayas, among other topics.

Sonam Wangchuk is known for his incredible work in Ladakh, which has been a game-changer inspiring social innovations across the South Asian region.

The interaction also delved into key lessons to learn from the experiences of Wangchuk in the Ladakh region as India turns 75.
