KATHMANDU: China-donated COVID-19 vaccine has arrived in Nepal.

A wide body airbus 330 of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), a Nepali flag carrier, landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 9 am today with 800,000 dozes of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine, informed Karishma Shrestha, the spokesperson of the NAC.

The other essential medical goods have also been brought aside from COVID-19 vaccine.

A cabinet meeting held on March 14 had decided to accept the medical goods including the China donated COVID-19 vaccine.

Manufactured by Sinovac Biotech, two dozes of this vaccine are recommended for inoculation against COVID-19 and should be stored under the temperature between 2 and 8 degree Celsius.

The airbus had flown to Beijing, the capital city of China, on Sunday.
