Nepal lifts suspension on travelers from UK

KATHMANDU: Nepal government has lifted the suspension on travelers and flights through the United Kingdom.

The Nepali Embassy in London on Thursday said that all passengers traveling to Nepal from the United Kingdom Ireland and Malta will be able to fly with the necessary conditions.

Nepal on December 22 had decided to ban entry to Nepal from the United Kingdom after the emergence of a new and more infectious strain of coronavirus there.

The Government of Nepal on Thursday had issued the Order on Health Security and Quarantine of Passengers Arriving in Nepal, 2077, with immediate effect.

The embassy said that even though the travel ban was lifted, passengers traveling to Nepal from the UK should have fulfilled various conditions including PCR negative report conducted 72 hours ago.
