JSP announces protest programs against HoR dissolution

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has announced agitation programs against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

A meeting of the party’s office-bearers held on Friday announced the program of the movement ‘to take the anti-regression struggle and party integration program together’.

The party has announced protest programs until February 11, according to Chairman of Federal Council Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.

According to him, it has been decided to hold protest programs at district level on February 5, federal and province constituencies on February 7, metropolis, sub-metropolis, municipality, and rural municipality on February 9, and ward level on February 11.

The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), the main opposition party Nepali Congress and the civil society are in street agitation after Prime Minister KP Oli dissolved the House of Representatives on December 20and announced mid-term elections.
