Brazil’s COVID-19 cases surpass 9 million



BRASILIA: Brazil registered 60,301 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 9,060,786, the Ministry of Health said.

Currently, 7,923,794 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals while 915,316 have returned home after treatment.

Meanwhile,  with new 1,439 fatalities, the country’s death toll from the virus has reached 221,676, according to Worldometers.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in Dcember 2019, COVID-19 pandemic has killed 2,198,714 and infects 101,989,243 people until the filing of this news.
