List of proposed UML leadership submitted to party Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: The proposed list of central members and office bearers, who are to be elected to the UML office and Central Committee in the 10th general convention, has been submitted to party Chair KP Sharma Oli on Sunday.

The closed session of the UML general convention on Saturday entrusted Chair Oli with the authority to nominate central members and office bearers. Accordingly, Chair Oli had assigned the task of preparing the list to leaders close to him, namely Shankar Pokharel, Bishnu Poudel, Prithvi Subba Gurung and Pradip Gyawali.

The four leaders after necessary preparation submitted the proposed list of names of central members and office bearers to the party chair today — the final day of the UML’s 10th general convention. It is said that Oli will approve the list and present it in the closed session for endorsement.

Currently, Chair Oli is said to be finalizing the list. After finalizing the names, the UML chair will propose the same at the closed session of the convention, which is yet to start.

The UML chairman is effortful to elect the UML leadership through consensus in the party’s ongoing general convention.
