NEPSE decreases by 80.29 points today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 80.29 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2651.49 points.

A total of 11.90 million shares of 234 companies traded today resulting in a transaction of Rs 5.83 billion.

On Sunday, all the sub-groups have faced Red ‘mark’. Banking group decreased by 34 points, trade by 159 points, hotel, and tourism by 147 points, development bank by 267 points, hydropower by 132 points, finance by 68 points, non-life insurance by 385 points, manufacturing by 192 points, others by 68 points, microfinance by 139 points and life insurance by 538 points.

Meanwhile, ICFC Finance increased by 9.7 percent. Samling Power increased by 8 percent, while Himalayan Power Partner decreased the most by 8.4 percent.

The prices of Manusi Microfinance decreased by 8 percent and Prime Life Insurance by 7.3 percent. Mahalakshmi Development Bank topped the list in terms of turnover.

The company had a turnover of Rs 288.9 million.
