CHITWAN: The closed session of the 10th general convention of the CPN-UML in Chitwan has not started yet.

Earlier, it was said that the general convention would be held till Sunday.

A controversy has erupted in the General Convention after the closed session on Saturday gave the right to elect office bearers and central members to Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Although the closed session gave Chairman Oli the upper hand, the closed session could not start on Sunday as Oli could not prepare the list of office bearers and members of the Central Committee.

However, Chairman Oli has been busy holding discussions with the leaders since Sunday morning.

The Oli faction has become active due to the lack of consensus among the office-bearers.
