KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has called a meeting of the Standing Committee (SC) today.

UML party office secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang said the SC meeting was convened at 4 pm at Tulsilal Memorial Foundation Thursday.

The SC meeting will likely review the recently concluded ward- and municipal-level conventions. UML held ward conventions on October 23 (Saturday) and municipal conventions on October 23 (Tuesday). However, the conventions in some wards and municipals are yet to be held.

Tamang said that the criteria and schedule of the National General Convention were also likely to be discussed in the SC meeting today. The UML’s National General Convention is slated for November 26-28 in Chitwan.
