Govt to administer vitamin ‘A’ to children on Oct 24-25

KATHMANDU: The government is making preparations to administer vitamin ‘A’ to all the children across the country on October 24 and 25.

The children aged six to 59 months will be administered vitamin ‘A’ capsule and albendazole to those from one to five years of age.
Originally scheduled from October 19 and 20, the date has been rescheduled due to Dashain festival, said the Ministry of Health and Population.

Meanwhile, the ministry has urged the concerned to make the National Vitamin A program a huge success in coordination with 753 local units.
