Maoist Center’s SC meeting scheduled for today postponed



KATHMANDU: A Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) called for today has been postponed.

Ruling Maoist Center had called its SC meeting to finalize the list of ministers to participate in the cabinet following the withdrawal of the ordinance on political parties.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is making preparations to expand the cabinet today.

A SC meeting of Maoist Center scheduled for 3 pm today has been postponed, leader Ganesh Shah said. According to Shah, the party will finalize the name-list only on Thursday following internal discussions.

However, party Chairman Prachanda’s secretariat had informed that today’s meeting would dwell on the organizational work as per the changed schedule.

A SC meeting held on Monday had decided to tweak the schedule of the General Convention of the party.
