Nepal records 1,857 new COVID-19 cases, 27 deaths in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,857 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of the 9,409 people who underwent tests through the RT-PCR method, 1,516 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while of the 3,767 Antigen tests, 341 tested positive.

According to the Ministry, 27 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 2,222 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, there were 549 new cases in Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours: Kathmandu 370 cases, Lalitpur 112 and Bhaktapur 67 cases.
