Nepal records 3,840 new COVID-19 cases, 33 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 859 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 3,840 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,634 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 1,206 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 559 persons in Kathmandu, 206 in Lalitpur, and 94 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 859 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 33 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,993 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
