Nepal-Khanal faction not to participate in Deuba govt

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bijay Poudel has said that they will not participate in the government.

Paudel made such remarks during a meeting of the ruling coalition convened at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar to discuss issues surrounding the cabinet expansion.

Paudel participated in the meeting of the ruling coalition on behalf of UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Earlier, in a meeting with CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda on Tuesday, senior leader Nepal had hinted that he would join the government. Hence, a meeting of the coalition was called to discuss the power-sharing.

Meanwhile, the coalition meeting has given the responsibility of power-sharing to the top-notch leaders of the ruling alliance.
