NC leaders held discussion in Mandikatar

Sujata Koirala invited senior leaders Poudel and Sitaula to her residence



KATHMANDU: Leaders of the Nepali Congress (NC) have intensified deliberations as the 14th general convention of the party approaches near.

Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and former general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula met for discussion at central member Sujata Koirala’s residence in Mandikhatar Monday. Host Koirala invited the two leaders over for a lunch meeting.

The leaders discussed choosing a common candidate for the leadership, it is learnt. Leader Poudel and Koirala have expressed their willingness to vie for NC Presidency.

Other NC leaders, such as Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi, General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala and former general secretary Prakash Man Singh, too have agreed to develop consensus on the future leadership.
