Valley CDOs taking official decision on prohibitory order today

KATHMANDU: Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley  are holding a joint meeting today to take an official decision on the extension of the prohibitory order.

A meeting of Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the three districts of Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur) held on Sunday concluded without an official decision on modalities to extend the prohibitory order.

The CDOs agreed, in principle, to extend the prohibitory order yesterday but with what measures (modalities) and for how long was not decided, and would be decided on Monday, said Kathmandu CDO Kali Prasad Parajuli.

He said a proposal regarding the operation of public transport was also discussed in the meeting; however, an official decision would be taken only after holding mutual discussions.

“Today’s meeting agreed to extend the prohibitory order but how and for how long will be decided tomorrow,” said Rijal.

A meeting of Lalitpur District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) today decided to take the proposal of public transport operation to DCCMC meetings of all the three districts.
