Two cases filed against main accused in attack of health wokers in Bheri Hospital

KATHMANDU: Police have filed two cases against the main accused in Bheri Hospital incident in Banke.

Banke Police Chief Om Rana said cases of attempt to murder and criminal conduct were filed against Man Bahadur Raut, the main accused. Raut and two others of Raut family attacked health workers and vandalized hospital property Thursday night after the death of their kin in course of coronavirus treatment in the hospital.

District Court Banke sent Raut to 5-day custody for necessary investigation into the incident.

Man Bahadur Rawat is a UML cadre and is currently in-charge of Dang Constituency No. 3. He is also UML’s Lumbini Provincial Committee member.
