Govt mulling over declaring health emergency: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli said that the government has been mulling over declaring health emergency in the country.

Addressing the nation from Singha Durbar on Friday afternoon, PM Oli revealed that the government is preparing to declare a health emergency to curb and control the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The preparations for the declaration of a health emergency, if needed, are complete,” PM Oli said, adding, “The government recently brought a new ordinance for the purpose.”

During his address, the PM claimed that infrastructure has been developed, remarkably, in the health sector.

He said that a significant amount of money has been provided for the establishment of an oxygen plant in the hospital. PM Oli also listed the details of the programs completed during the tenure of his premiership.
