COVID-19: India records new 179,770 cases, 3,558 deaths



NEW DELHI: India recorded 179,770 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 27,547,705.

Currently, 2,338,558 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 24,890,326 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 318,800-mark.

With 3,558 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 318,821, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,523,179 and infected 169,597,652 globally until the filing of this news.
