Gandaki Provincial Assembly meeting postponed

POKHARA: The meeting of Gandaki Provincial Assembly has been postponed indefinitely.

The meeting has been adjourned saying that Khim Bikram Shahi, a lawmaker of Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal was out of contact during the no-confidence vote against Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.

Earlier, a meeting was called at 4.30 pm to vote on the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Gurung.

However, the meeting was adjourned indefinitely after a petition was filed in the assembly saying that the Jana Morcha MP had gone out of contact.

The Rastriya Janamorcha had earlier demanded its lawmaker Khim Bikram Shahi, who was out of contact be searched.

Party’s Chief Whip Piyari Thapa had on Wednesday also registered an application in the provincial parliament Secretariat demanding that the status of the party’s lawmaker Shahi be made public.
