Three lawmakers who crossed floor in Karnali sworn in as ministers



KARNALI: Three lawmakers of Karnali Province have been sworn in as ministers for six months.

Chief of the Karnali Province Govinda Prasad Kalauni administered the oath of office to the three ministers Wednesday.

Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Nanda Singh Budha, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Amar Thapa and Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Kumar Raj Shahi were sworn in today.

The ruling CPN-UML had dismissed the three lawmakers who had crossed the floor to cast their votes in favor of Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi in the vote of confidence.

They were in the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of the UML.
