CPN (Maoist Center) expels Khadka from National Assembly member



KATHMANDU: Chandra Bahadur Khadka, a member of the National Assembly (NA) from the CPN-Maoist Center, has been expelled by the party.

Leader of the parliamentary party Dinanath Sharma sent a letter to the NA Secretariat to vacate his post of National Assembly member saying that he had left the party.

A letter was sent to the National Assembly Secretariat on April 23 to expel Khadka. Accordingly, a notice issued by National Assembly Secretary Rajendra Phuyal states that Khadka’s post is vacant.

Khadka, who was from Arghakhanchi has joined CPN-UML.

Earlier, the Maoist center had also taken action against Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa. An election is being held in Thapa’s place on May 20.
