Three more Nepalis succumbed to COVID-19 abroad



LONDON: Three more Nepalis have died abroad from the COVID-19 infection.

According to Dr Sanjeev Sapkota, the coordinator of the Health Committee under the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), two non-resident Nepalis in the UK and one in Canada have died of corona infection this week.

According to NRNA, as many as 345 Nepalis living in 22 countries abroad have died of coronavirus to date.

Dr. Sapkota informed that among the Nepalis abroad, those living in Belgium, Malaysia and the UAE are found to be most affected by the coronavirus pandemic this week.

So far, 63,854 Nepalis in 53 countries outside Nepal have tested positive for coronavirus pandemic, out of which 61,980 have recovered. The recovery rate of Neaplis abroad stands at 96.8 percent.
