Prachanda, Nepal pushing the country toward catastrophe: PM Oli

JHAPA: Prime Minister KP Oli has alleged Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and Madhav Kumar Nepal, chairmen of the Prachanda-Nepal faction, for pushing the country toward catastrophe.

Speaking at a program in his home district of Jhapa Sunday, he sniffed sarcasm on Prachanda and Nepal branding them “Mr. Hello, and Mr. Comfortable”.

In a recent television interview, Prachanda had said that India and China would be “comfortable” if his faction along with the Nepali Congress and the Janata Samajbadi Forum formed a coalition government.

Likewise, PM Oli ridiculed leader Nepal’s telephonic conversation in Hindi in Chitwan the day when the Supreme Court reinstated the House of Representatives last Tuesday.

PM Oli, however, said the restoration of the HoR was a positive thing, however, adding that he was the Prime Minister not because of the court’s order but by the blessings of the people.

He also, as usual in a sarcastic tone, came down heavily on Prachanda and Nepal for boarding a plane from Chitwan to Kathmandu instead of heading towards the “south”.

“And yes, they spared some of the time to visit Budhanilantha (NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence) to woo the latter,” he said.
