Home Minister sacks his secy for supporting Prachanda-Nepal faction

KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadhur Thapa ‘Badal’ has dismissed his personal secretary Biru Tamang for the latter’s loyalty to Prachanda-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

Tamang was a former Maoist militant and had been working at the Home Minister’s secretariat since Thapa was appointed as Home Minister.

Earlier, after Prime Minister KP Oli’s dissolution of House of Representatives on December 20, Home Minister Thapa’s Chief Advisor Surya Subedi had resigned from the post.
