Foreign Minister Gyawali congratulates newly-appointed US Secretary of State Blinken



KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has felicitated Antony Blinken on his appointment as the Secretary of State of the United States of America.

In his message, Foreign Minister Gyawali has expressed his confidence that the multidimensional Nepal-US relations will continue to flourish in the years ahead.

Appreciating US cooperation to Nepal’s socio-economic development, the Foreign Minister has outlined that the new US policies, including the emphasis on multilateralism, will further expand the avenues for mutual cooperation, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In this context, he conveyed the commitment of the government of Nepal to working closely with the United States in the areas of common interests, including climate action and global health in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Foreign Minister Gyawali, in his message, has also underscored the need for further enriching development partnership, economic engagements, and people-to-people contacts.
