PM Cup Semis: Bagmati gets 230-run target from TAC



KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) has set a 230-run target for Bagmati in a match of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament underway at TU International Cricket Ground on Thursday.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Bagmati notched up 229 runs losing 10 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

TAC’s Rajesh Pulami made highest 65 runs including four fours and two sixes off 91 balls, Bhim Sharki hit 40 runs including five fours and one six off 61 balls while Bikram Sob contributed 35 runs off 58 runs.

In reply, Bagmati’s Gautam KC bagged highest five wickets of TAC. The winner of the match will take on Armed Police Force (APF) in the final. APF entered the final by defeating defending champion Nepal Police Club on Wednesday.

Bagmati is the group ‘B’ winner while TAC is the first runner up of group ‘A’.

Bagmati had defeated Nepal Police Club, Sudurpaschim and Pradesh 2 and played   a draw with Lumbini in the group stage match.

Similarly, TAC had routed Karnali, Gandaki, and Pradesh 1 and faced a defeat at the hands of APF in the group stage match.
