Nepal sees 271 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 165 cases in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 271 new cases of coronavirus while 225 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 251 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 20 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are  132 cases in Kathmandu, 14 in Bhaktapur and 19 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 165 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there was one coronavirus-related death in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 11,586 in the country.

There are 4,931 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Monday.
