Maoist Gen Convention: Closed session begins at Nepal Academy Hall

Deliberation on Prachanda's political dossier underway



KATHMANDU: The closed session of the CPN (Maoist Center)’s Eighth General Convention has started at Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.

The political document presented by chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and the other reports including the party statute have been submitted in the closed session underway at Nepal Academy Hall.

Currently, Maoist Center leaders are deliberating on the Prachanda’s dossier in the national conference by forming more than 20 groups.

Secretary of the Maoist Center’s Central Office, Shree Ram Dhakal, informed that the General Convention, which has an agenda to select a new leadership along with endorsing the political report and the statute will continue till Thursday.

The inaugural session of the convention concluded on Sunday evening.

Maoist Center Chairman ‘Prachanda’ had inaugurated the convention at Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu Sunday afternoon.

Top political leaders, including Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, among others, attended the inaugural session of the Maoist Convention.
