KATHMANDU: The closed session of the CPN-UML’s 10th General Convention has entrusted Chair KP Sharma Oli with the right to propose the names of office bearers and central members.
The proposal to entrust Chair Oli with the right to nominate officials was put forth by leader Bishnu Poudel during the closed-door session in Sauraha on Saturday.
The proposal was passed by a majority with applause.
With this, Chair Oli will nominate office bearers and central members in the 10th General Convention.
The party is to elect the new leadership unanimously.
Meanwhile, UML leader Bhim Rawal has said he does not support the proposal.
