UML to have 301-member CC, 7 vice chairs, 3 deputy gen secys



KATHMANDU: A central committee (CC) meeting of the CPN-UML held on Friday night has increased the CC members from 225 to 301.

Issuing a press note, UML publicity chief Yogesh Bhattarai informed that UML will have 301 CC members, seven vice chairpersons including one senior vice chairperson and three deputy general secretaries in the central committee. The others posts will remain as they are.

According to the decision, the politburo will have 99 members. Similarly, the election commission, disciplinary commission and accounts commission will have 25 members each.

The CC meeting has also endorsed the representatives nominated to the General Convention by the Standing Committee (SC).

These decisions now will be submitted in the closed session for endorsement. The closed session is starting from today.
