Buddha Air faces problem in another flight 

Plane flown for Pokhara lands back in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Two Buddha Air planes returned to Kathmandu on Monday after failing to land at their destination. After one plane’s failed attempt to land in Biratnagar, another plane heading for Pokhara has also flown back to Kathmandu on Monday afternoon.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) sources, the plane that flew from Kathmandu to Biratnagar in the morning failed to land in Biratnagar and returned to Kathmandu after being in air for about two hours.

The plane had experienced problem in the landing gear.

Following similar fate, the U601-9 NAJO Call-sign flight bound for Pokhara also returned back to Kathmandu after noticing smoke in the cockpit on Monday afternoon.

According to TIA spokesperson Rinje Sherpa, both planes landed safely at TIA.

The pilot had diverted the plane flying to Pokhara back to Kathmandu after smoke came in the cockpit. After landing in Kathmandu, the plane took off again and flew to Pokhara, said spokesperson Sherpa.

Buddha Air has made the video of safe landing public on Monday.

Airport spokesperson Sherpa informed that the passengers of the plane flew to Biratnagar again.
